Dealer Spotlight: Food52, NYC
Alterra Pure x Food52
Food52 was founded in 2009 as a recipe and cookware site by former New York Times writers and columnists Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs. Their vision was to create an end-to-end food experience where their audience could find recipes, watch cooking shows, participate in a community, share their ideas, and buy everything they needed for the kitchen. It was only natural to expand into bed and bath with Home52.
Food52 features organic cotton sheets from Alterra Pure as well as bundled percale sheet sets and organic duvet covers. Food52 features only one other maker in the sheet and duvet category, so we are honored be selected as one of the exclusive brands offered by Food 52.
In 2012, Food52 won a James Beard award for Publication of the Year. Other awards abound including founder Amanda Hesser being selected for Food and Wine magazine's 40 under 40 list. Many know Amanda for her New York Times piece about blogger Julie Powell, who sought to cook all of Julia Child's cook book, Mastering the Art of French Cooking. In the movie, Julie and Julia, Amanda Hesser played herself.
Like a fine chef, Alterra Pure focuses upon the ingredients to assure we bring integrity and comfort for the best night's sleep. Our heirloom organic cotton percale sheets are cool and crisp providing the height of comfort. Our organic cotton sheets and organic cotton duvet covers provide peace of mind so you can dream away.
